NEW DELHI: A special CBI court on Tuesday refused to cancel the non-bailable warrants (NBWs) against the former managing director of realty major Emaar MGF, Shravan Gupta, observing he did not join the probe despite summons and was trying to evade the investigation on one ground or the other in the case related to the Rs 3,600-crore AgustaWestland VVIP chopper money laundering case.
Special CBI judge Arvind Kumar said, “Even during present proceedings, the applicant did not express intention to appear before ED to join probe. He also did not appear before court when the application was taken up for hearing. It only shows that the applicant is not willing to cooperate in probe.”
